Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch today raided Odia Daily ‘Sambad’ office on Monday for allegedly borrowing loans in the name of employees.
EOW officials went to the Sambad headquarters and examined various documents in this connection.
Earlier, a case was filed with EOW after an ex-employee of Sambad lodged a complaint against the media house.
The case has been registered under Sections 506, 467, 468, 420, 421 and 120 (B) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
CEO of ‘Sambad’ Kamalakant Mohapatra was questioned by EOW team for around three hours. On Monday, a team of EOW arrived at the media house in Rasulgarh industrial area of Bhubaneswar and examined the documents related to the case.
