EC Team Searches VK Pandian’s Helicopter In Nabarangpur

Umerkote: A five-member team of the Election Commission of India Friday searched a helicopter used by senior BJD leader and 5T Chairman VK Pandian in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district.

The team comprised election officials, local BDO, a police officer, and a magistrate. The search yielded no objectionable material, according to officials.

The search was carried out in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.

Pandian, a close aide of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, today landed at Umerkote in a helicopter to continue his election campaign for BJD MP and MLA candidates for the ensuing twin polls.

As of now, neither Pandian nor the ruling BJD has issued any reaction to the search.
