The East Coast Railway has implemented a revised timetable for select MEMU trains in Odisha, effective from April 25, 2026.
The update aims to improve punctuality, enhance operational efficiency, and provide a smoother travel experience for daily commuters.
Officials confirmed that the revised schedule affects two key passenger services operating on busy regional routes.
Angul–Puri MEMU: Revised Morning Schedule
Train No. 68421 (Angul–Puri MEMU) will now depart earlier in the morning to ensure better connectivity across major stations.
Updated Timings:
- Departure from Angul: 05:10 hrs
- Arrival at Talcher: 05:35 hrs (Dep. 05:45 hrs)
- Arrival at Dhenkanal: 07:00 hrs (Dep. 07:05 hrs)
- Arrival at Bhubaneswar: 08:50 hrs (Dep. 08:55 hrs)
- Final arrival at Puri: 10:50 hrs
The train will continue to pass through key stations such as Naraj Marthapur, Barang, Khurda Road, Delang, and Sakhigopal, ensuring connectivity across central and coastal Odisha.
Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU: Afternoon Service Adjusted
Train No. 68437 (Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU) has also been rescheduled to better align with passenger demand and reduce delays.
Updated Timings:
- Departure from Bhadrak: 15:00 hrs
- Arrival at Jajpur Keonjhar Road: 16:21 hrs (Dep. 16:22 hrs)
- Final arrival at Cuttack: 18:40 hrs
This route includes stoppages at important stations such as Kenduapada, Dhanmandal, and Kapilas Road, serving a large number of daily passengers.
