Advance bookings for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, have surged dramatically just days ahead of its theatrical release on March 19.
The much-anticipated spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar has already generated massive pre-sales worldwide, setting new benchmarks for Indian cinema.
Record-Breaking Advance Sales
According to trade reports, the film has already crossed ₹120 crore in global advance bookings, with strong demand continuing across major markets. The movie has sold nearly one million tickets in India for preview and opening-day shows alone, reflecting strong audience interest.
The film’s paid preview shows scheduled for March 18 have already grossed ₹32.44 crore domestically, making it the largest premiere for an Indian film. The previous record was held by OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, which earned ₹25 crore from its premiere screenings.
Industry analysts suggest that preview collections for Dhurandhar 2 could cross ₹40 crore before release day, further strengthening its opening prospects.
Strong Opening Day and Weekend Momentum
Advance bookings for regular shows began over the weekend and have continued to accelerate.
-
Opening day advance bookings: ₹14.66 crore
-
Tickets sold: Nearly 10 lakh across preview and opening day
-
Opening weekend pre-sales (India): Over ₹60 crore
Trade experts expect the numbers to grow significantly as release day approaches, with spot bookings likely to push totals even higher.
Overseas Markets See Historic Demand
International markets have also reported exceptional pre-release demand. In North America, the film has crossed $5 million in advance ticket sales, becoming the first Indian film to reach this milestone in pre-sales.
This achievement surpasses previous records held by blockbuster films such as Pathaan, RRR, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, each of which earned over $4 million in advance bookings in the region.
Globally, pre-sales have already crossed $6 million, bringing the total worldwide advance booking revenue to over ₹120 crore. Industry estimates suggest that the figure could rise to ₹150–200 crore before release.

The sequel to the blockbuster Dhurandhar features a strong ensemble cast including:
-
R. Madhavan
-
Arjun Rampal
-
Sanjay Dutt
-

Rakesh Bedi
Reports also suggest a cameo appearance by Akshaye Khanna, who played the antagonist Rehman Dakait in the first film.
The original Dhurandhar, released in December, reportedly earned ₹1300 crore worldwide and continues to run in select theatres. With its current momentum, industry analysts believe Dhurandhar 2 could potentially cross ₹2000 crore globally, challenging the long-standing record of Dangal as the highest-grossing Indian film.
