The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced extended train services on Friday, Oct 30, to facilitate smooth travel for thousands of spectators attending Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Aura India Tour 2026’ concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
With an estimated 70,000 attendees expected at the venue, DMRC has put comprehensive transport and security measures in place.
Operating hours will be extended beyond normal night schedules across all metro corridors, except the Rapid Metro in Gurugram, while the Airport Express Line will run until midnight (00:00 hours).
DMRC will run additional train trips across the network and keep standby trains ready for immediate deployment to manage rush hour traffic. Furthermore, the validity of QR tickets purchased via the official DMRC mobile app will be extended by one hour.
To manage heavy footfall at JLN Stadium Metro Station on the Violet Line and key interchange nodes, extra Customer Facilitation Agents (CFAs) and security personnel will be stationed on-site.
Additional Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs) have been installed to streamline entry and screening procedures. DMRC has urged concertgoers to utilise metro services as a safe, eco-friendly transport alternative to minimise road traffic congestion surrounding the stadium complex.
