Kalahandi/Kandhamal: With a hike in coronavirus cases across Odisha, several areas in the State are gradually coming under various restrictions.
Limser village under Brundabahala panchayat in Kalahandi district was declared a containment zone after a surge in Covid-19 cases was spotted. The move was adopted by the Sarpanch in order to curb the spread of the pandemic. Reportedly, the containment restrictions here will continue till April 8 midnight.
There will be a strict perimeter to ensure that there is no movement of people in or out of these zones, except for medical emergencies and maintaining the supply of essential goods and services.
On the other hand, the Kandhamal district administration declared Dakapala School sahi in ward no-2 and 5 houses in ward no-5 under Phulbani as micro-containment zones after Covid-19 positive cases were reported from the locality.
Reportedly, one from ward no-5 and eight from Dakapala School sahi have tested positive for coronavirus.
