Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal president Naveen Patnaik on Friday held a meeting with newly-elected Panchayat Raj Institution representatives of Hinjili and Sheragada blocks to congratulate them and advise them to stay above political differences to serve the people.
“We can always have the faith and blessings of the people if we rise above the political differences and work for the people,” Naveen said.
“Development has always been our focus and the public has acknowledged our hard work which is evident in the historic win in panchayat elections across the state,” Patnaik said.
“I hope you will work for the people of your village, and be with them in their joys and sorrows, the BJD supremo said adding that, victory in the polls brings in huge responsibility.
Further, the Chief Minister praised the work of public representatives in the 5T High School Transformation programme and hoped that the development work would continue in the future. He also suggested that everyone work together as a team for the development of Hinjili and Sheragada blocks.
