Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday announced Rs 50,000 financial assistance to each Bhagabata Tungi in Odisha.
Bhagabata Tungi is the spiritual, cultural and social soul center of our rural life. Bhagabata Tungi binds the entire village in a thread of unity. This great symbol of our culture and tradition, Bhagabata Tungi is a glorious representation of the cultural identity of the Odia people.
To make the 7,200 Bhagabata Tungis in our state more efficient, the Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs.50,000 for each Bhagabata Tungi.
The development of Bhagabata Tungis will be done through the Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture.
