A young man lost his life in a shocking and brutal attack late Thursday night in Damodarpur Bazaar under the Chandanpur police station limits in Puri district.
According to local reports, a group of miscreants chased the youth through the market area before attacking him with sharp weapons. The assailants left him critically injured and bleeding on the ground.
Alerted by the incident, Chandanpur police rushed to the spot, rescued the blood-soaked victim, and immediately shifted him to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital. Despite medical efforts, the young man succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
