A tragic accident occurred at Lingipur Kalyan Mandap under Dhauli Police Station limits, where a youth died after suffering an electric shock during welding work.
The deceased has been identified as Subrata Bhoi of Gop area in Puri district. Sources said he was engaged in welding work inside the mandap when he suddenly came in contact with live electricity. He succumbed instantly at the spot.
Following the incident, locals alerted the police. Dhauli Police reached the site, seized the body, and initiated necessary procedures. Officials confirmed that a detailed investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances and cause of the accident.
