Gunupur: A joint task force today destroyed cannabis plantation on 60 acres of land inside Pindiguda Serigumma forest under Putasing police limits in Rayadaga district.
In compliance with the direction of District Collector a joint team of Police, Forest, Excise and Agriculture departments led by Gunupur SDPO Raj Kishore Das on Monday conducted a raid in the deep jungle and spotted the huge plantation on cannabis.
The task force felled around 1000 ganja plants grown on 60 acres of land in the deep forest. The cannabis plantation is estimated to worth around Rupees One Crore, the police said.
