Bhubaneswar: With the reopening of schools from Class-VIII to XII in a phased manner, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha and Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) have decided to hold extensive discussion with the stakeholders like students, teachers, parents, educationists and experts regarding conduct of examinations.
The views of these stakeholders shall be taken into consideration for conducting exams and assessments. CHSE Chairman and BSE President will work out the details of consultation process.
The state government has allowed the reopening of classes for Class-VIII to XII from February 7. Both offline, online and hybrid teaching is being conducted.
School and Mass Education Dept Secretary Bishnupada Sethi said that the state government is aware of the difficult time, COVID-19 has created for the education sector. He said the department will address the challenges in the best possible manner.
The predominant concern is to resume teaching, increase attendance and address the learning gaps, he added.
