New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday afternoon arrived at Johannesburg where he would be participating in the BRICS Summit 2023 that starts tomorrow and concludes on 24th August.
Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by H.E. Mr. Paul Shipokosa Mashatile, Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa at the airport. A ceremonial welcome was also accorded to Prime Minister Modi.

This will be the first in-person BRICS Summit after three consecutive years of virtual meetings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Monday, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra said that a business delegation from India will also be travelling to South Africa to attend the Business Tracks meetings and also the meetings of the BRICS Business Council, BRICS Women Business Alliance and the BRICS Business Forum.
