Mumbai: The bodies of two children were found inside a car on Antop Hill in Mumbai on Thursday. The children were missing since Wednesday afternoon and the family members claimed that they had gone out to play.
No injury marks were found on the bodies of the children and police said that the kids probably locked themselves inside the car while playing and died due to suffocation.
The police’s First Information Report (FIR) says that 10-year-old Shivshankar and eight-year-old Ravishankar got into the car while playing. The two children got trapped after the car got locked due to its central locking.
The children lived in an MHADA colony at Badlapur and the Maruti Zen was parked in the compound. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the investigation into the matter is currently underway.
