Nitin Nabin arrived in Bhubaneswar on Sunday for a high-profile two-day Odisha visit that has generated strong enthusiasm among BJP leaders and workers across the state.
The BJP National President received a grand welcome at the airport, where senior party leaders, ministers, MPs and MLAs greeted him with floral tributes.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda, along with MPs, ministers and party office-bearers, were present to welcome him at the airport.
Following his arrival, Nitin Nabin stayed at the Rajya Atithi Bhavan before beginning a packed schedule of organisational and political engagements. According to party leaders, he is scheduled to participate in a BJP core committee meeting at the state party office and later inaugurate the district-level Pandit Deendayal Training Mahabhiyan-2026 camp at Jatni’s Asian Institute of Physical Health University campus.
The BJP leader is also scheduled to visit Puri, where he will offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple and partake in Mahaprasad before returning to Bhubaneswar for additional meetings with ministers, Morcha chairpersons and senior BJP functionaries.
Party leaders described the visit as politically significant, especially as the BJP government in Odisha approaches completion of two years in office. Leaders believe the visit will strengthen organisational coordination and energise grassroots workers ahead of future political activities in the state.
Ekamra-Bhubaneswar MLA Babu Singh said the visit would motivate party workers and encourage stronger public outreach. MP Aparajita Sarangi said the BJP president would guide party members on future strategies and governance priorities. Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal also confirmed that several meetings with party leaders and ministers are scheduled during the visit.
This marks Nitin Nabin’s first Odisha tour since taking charge as BJP National President around three-and-a-half months ago, making the visit closely watched in political circles across the state.
