A patient lost his life in Malkangiri after a bike ran out of fuel midway to the hospital.
The victim, Basant Khil of Kusumput village, fell from a tree while plucking mangoes. His family rushed him to the hospital on a bike, but the vehicle stopped halfway when its fuel supply ended.
Stranded without fuel in the area, the family called for an ambulance. The patient was later admitted to Mathili Hospital. Doctors referred him to Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital, where he died during treatment.
