Party Raises Serious Questions on Law and Order. Biju Janata Dal Spokesperson Dr Lenin Mohanty expressed deep concern over the incident. He stated that the death raises fresh doubts about the law and order situation in Odisha.
Dr Mohanty highlighted that lawlessness has grown serious across the state. Crimes against women and children increase at an alarming rate under the present government. Even police personnel remain unsafe while performing their duties. He referred to the recent Balianta incident where a policeman died in mob violence. Dr Mohanty also recalled previous cases of women police officers facing harassment inside police stations. The unnatural death of Beauty Mohanty now becomes a major public concern. People need to know whether it was suicide or something else. The Biju Janata Dal insists on a transparent investigation. The party demands a court-monitored inquiry by a neutral and independent agency. This court-monitored inquiry will ensure credibility and fairness. The people of Odisha deserve complete truth without any delay or cover-up. Justice must appear clearly to the public.
Dr Mohanty stressed that such incidents damage public confidence in the policing system. He called upon the government to act swiftly and restore faith among citizens and police personnel.
