Bhubaneswar: Kharavela Nagar Police have arrested a bike lifter in the Odisha capital city Bhubaneswar. The arrestee has been identified as Biswaranjan Panigrahi alias Pinku (32) from Shergarh area of Ganjam district.
According to reports, the matter came to the fore after the manager of State Bank Of India in the Satya Nagar area lodged a complaint with the local police station regarding his bike theft.
In the complaint, the victim alleged that on 6th April evening he had parked his bike in the Parking area. Later after returning from the bank he noticed that his bike was missing.
Acting on the plaint, the police registered a case in this regard. After pertinent efforts, the cops managed to arrest the accused and forwarded him to the court. The cops have also recovered the stolen bike from him.
Further investigation into the matter is underway to unearth the possible link of other criminals in the case
