Banks Will Remain Closed For 10 Days In November, Including Weekends

New Delhi: Banks will remain closed for 10 days in November across many states in the country. Bank holidays vary from region to region depending upon the festival being observed there or notification of specific occasions in those states.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for the month of November. Banks will remain closed for 10 days this month. These include all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays.

According to the RBI calendar, banks will not operate for four days in November due to regional holidays. These include Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kannada rajyotsava, Seng Kutsnem and Kanakadasa Jayanthi/Wangala Festival. Bank services will get affected in the local branches in the respective states due to these festivals.

It is advised to plan your bank-related work to avoid any inconvenience. However, it must be noted that facilities like online banking and UPI will be available to customers even when the banks are closed on holidays.

November 6: First Sunday

November 12: Second Saturday

November 13: Second Sunday

November 20: Third Sunday

November 26: Fourth Saturday

November 27: Fourth Sunday

National and Regional Holidays

November 1: Kannada rajyotsava/Kut – Bengaluru and Imphal

November 8: Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartika Purnima/Rahas Purnima – Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar.

November 11: Kanakadasa Jayanthi/Wangala Festival – Bengaluru and Shillong

November 23: Seng Kutsnem – Shillong

In December, banks will remain shut for seven days on account of regional and national festivals across states.
