Actor Babil Khan, son of the late Irrfan Khan, has deleted his Instagram account following a now-viral, emotionally charged video in which he spoke tearfully about bullying and hypocrisy in the Bollywood industry.
The video, reportedly posted early Sunday morning and later taken down, saw Babil calling out the toxic environment in Bollywood, even naming celebrities including Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, and even singer Arijit Singh.
“Bollywood is the most fakest, fakest, fakest industry that I’ve ever, ever been a part of,” Babil said in the video, holding back tears.
He added, “There are a few people who want Bollywood to be better… I have so much more to show you, so much more to give.”
Clips from the video quickly surfaced on Reddit and other platforms, with fans expressing deep concern over Babil’s mental health. His sudden disappearance from Instagram has only intensified worry, especially among those who have followed his career and his emotionally honest posts in the past.
A visit to Babil’s Instagram handle now shows a message stating the page is “not available”, confirming the account deletion.
Growing Pressure on Young Stars
The incident sheds light once again on the intense pressure, cliques, and mental health issues faced by young actors in the Hindi film industry. Babil, who has often spoken candidly about grief, healing, and his father’s legacy, had previously received praise for his vulnerability.
No official statement has been issued by Babil or his management so far. However, mental health advocates and fans alike are urging Bollywood to address internal toxicity, and extend support to artists navigating fame and scrutiny.
