Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Police has arrested an absconding hardcore drug trafficker from Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
The accused has been identified as Sk Azbahar of Rajpur under Jaleswar police limits of Balasore district.

The accused has been nabbed by the Odisha with the assistance of Rajasthan Police, especially, Commissionerate Police of Jodhpur, said a press note of the STF.
The STF has secured his transit remand from the local Court at Jodhapur and he will be brought to Odisha and produced before the Court of District & Sessions Judge-cum-Spl. Judge, Balasore.
“He was wanted by the STF in the case pertaining to the seizure of 2.402 kg contraband brown sugar from the possession of accused persons on August 14 this year,” an official said.
“Azbahar was the key player and mastermind in inter-state drug trafficking (heroin/ brown sugar) and was absconding for long and was changing place of hiding in various states including in West Bengal and Rajasthan,” the official added.
