Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has tested positive for swine flu (H1N1), forcing him to postpone his upcoming public appearance in Bengaluru.
The actor shared a health update on Instagram, admitting he is “really unwell” after days of discomfort following recent work-related travel.
Hashmi’s test reports confirmed the infection on August 28, shortly after his trip to Ranchi and shooting schedules. In his Instagram story, he wrote: “Hey Bangalore, I’m really unwell and unfortunately won’t be able to make it to the Bangalore show. But picture khatam nahi hua, bas postpone hua hai! I’ll see you all at Sunburn Union on 12th September, Saturday.”
The actor’s diagnosis comes at a time when his latest film, Awarapan 2, continues to perform strongly at the box office, crossing ₹200 crore worldwide. Co-starring Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi, the romantic action drama has been praised for its commercial success.
On the work front, Hashmi will next be seen in Gun Maaster G9, directed by Aditya Datt and featuring Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurana. The film, with music by Himesh Reshammiya, is slated for release on November 27, 2026.
For now, Hashmi has assured fans that his priority is recovery, thanking them for their support during this difficult period.
