In a significant step towards realising the ambitious Viksit Odisha Vision 2036 | 2047, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, IAS, convened a comprehensive review meeting with The Convergence Foundation (TCF) and its portfolio organisations at Lok Seva Bhawan today.

The meeting assessed the ongoing collaboration under the three-year Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Planning & Convergence Department, Government of Odisha, and TCF on 13 February 2025. This strategic partnership aims to provide high-quality technical support to translate the state’s long-term vision into measurable outcomes.

Garg emphasised the need for sharper focus and stronger execution. She called upon TCF and its partner organisations to deliver strategic technical assistance, strengthen monitoring mechanisms, and implement focused interventions in priority sectors to ensure timely and impactful results.

Praveen Khanghtha, COO of The Convergence Foundation, along with Parikshit Luthra, Director – Policy & Government Partnerships, and senior representatives from CEGIS, Foundation for Economic Development (FED), Udaiti, Prosperiti, Rocket Learning, Central Square Foundation, GATI Foundation, and Atithi actively participated in the discussions.

TCF’s portfolio organisations are currently supporting multiple departments including Industries, Labour & ESI, Women & Child Development, Housing & Urban Development, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, Health & Family Welfare, Tourism, MSME, Skill Development & Technical Education, Higher Education, and School & Mass Education. Key areas of engagement range from governance reforms and education transformation to women’s empowerment, skilling, urban development, mental health, environmental sustainability, and inclusive economic growth.

Senior officials, including Commissioner-cum-Secretaries of key departments and directors, joined the meeting and contributed valuable insights. Consultant to the Office of the Chief Secretary, Debendra Kumar Jena, coordinated the proceedings.

With this renewed momentum, Odisha is poised to accelerate its journey towards becoming a fully developed state, aligning seamlessly with the national goal of Viksit Bharat.

The collaboration with TCF is expected to play a pivotal role in turning vision into visible, people-centric progress across the state.
