Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi returned to Bhubaneswar after completing a five-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The CM was accorded a grand welcome at the city airport on his arrival.
During the visit, Majhi attended the Odisha Investors’ Meet and held extensive discussions with global investors to attract fresh capital into the state. Out of the five days, three were dedicated to investor interactions, focusing on bringing maximum investment and creating new employment opportunities in Odisha.
Officials confirmed that the UAE visit resulted in 24 MoUs, paving the way for investments worth Rs 2.43 lakh crore across multiple sectors including IT, healthcare, and industry. The projects are expected to generate nearly 8 lakh direct and indirect jobs, boosting Odisha’s industrial growth and employment landscape.
Industries Minister Samapad Chandra Swain highlighted that the agreements will strengthen Odisha’s development trajectory, dismissing opposition criticism as baseless.
