A massive fire broke out in Brahmabarada, Jajpur district, at 2:30 AM, reducing seven shops to ashes.

Local residents spotted the flames and immediately alerted the Baruan Fire Department. Fire tenders rushed to the scene and fought the blaze for hours. Despite their efforts, the fire completely gutted all seven shops, leaving behind charred remains and heavy losses.

Goods, cash, and valuables stored inside the shops were destroyed. Traders reported severe financial setbacks and urged the government to provide immediate relief and compensation.

Preliminary suspicion points to an electrical short circuit as the cause of the fire. Officials have launched an investigation to determine the exact reason behind the mishap.

The incident caused panic among locals, but no casualties were reported. Authorities assured that further details will emerge as the probe continues.

The fire has shaken the trading community in Brahmabarada, highlighting the urgent need for safety measures in crowded marketplaces. The demand for swift government intervention reflects the gravity of the losses suffered by shop owners.
