The Odisha Higher Education Department has extended the timeline for the ongoing Phase-I undergraduate (UG) admission process for 2026–27 under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), citing the challenges posed by the flood situation across parts of the state.
According to the official notification, the revised schedule applies to all (+3) Degree institutions including State Public Universities, Government, Aided, Unaided, and Law Colleges. Students allotted seats in the third and final selection round must report to their institutions by 5:00 pm on August 5, 2026, with data updation to be completed by 9:00 pm the same day.
The department also announced a fourth round (Waiting/Spot Selection) to fill vacant seats. The waitlist will be published on August 8, with candidates required to report between August 10–11. The merit list will be released on August 12, followed by document verification and fee payment from August 13–14.
Officials confirmed that the Phase-II admission schedule will be announced separately at a later date.
