Director Avinash Arun’s biographical courtroom drama, Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam, concluded its opening week at the Indian box office with a total net collection of Rs 16 crore.
Starring Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, the film added Rs 1.00 to 1.10 crore on its seventh day (Thursday), marking a 20% decline from the previous day.
The movie opened to Rs 2 crore on Day 1 and peaked over its first weekend with Rs 3 crore on Saturday and Rs 3.5 crore on Sunday. However, weekday momentum slowed down due to mixed audience reviews, collecting Rs 2 crore on Monday, Rs 3.25 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 1.25 crore on Wednesday.
The story follows a dedicated prosecutor navigating high-stakes courtroom strategy and personal sacrifices during landmark legal battles. Alongside Rajkummar Rao, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Jaideep Ahlawat, Wamiqa Gabbi, Lalit Prabhakar, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Sikandar Kher.
With current momentum pointing toward a lifetime collection of Rs 25 to 35 crore net, Prahaar faces a challenging theatrical run. The film will require a strong hold across its second week to maintain stability at the domestic box office.
