Khurda: At least seven persons were critically injured after a cooking gas cylinder exploded at a house in Gumbharimunda under Banpur police station limits in Khurda district.
As per reports, the mishap occurred at the house of one Ravindra Pradhan. According to witnesses, one of the neighbour approached Ravindra’s home after spotting the smoke emanating from the house when the cooking gas cylinder exploded.
One member of Ravindra’s family and six other villagers sustained critical burn injuries in the mishap.
All the injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and were later shifted to medical facilities in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack after their health condition deteriorated.
