Among the awardees, 20 officers received the Governor’s Medal for Meritorious Service for their outstanding contributions to policing and public service. Prominent recipients include Southern Range Inspector General Niti Shekhar, Central Range Inspector General Satyajit Naik, and Puri Superintendent of Police Prateek Singh, whose leadership and commitment have earned wide appreciation.

For displaying exceptional courage and valour in the line of duty, nine personnel were conferred with the prestigious President’s Medal for Gallantry. Their actions reflect remarkable bravery and dedication to safeguarding lives and maintaining law and order.

In addition, two officers were awarded the Police Medal for Distinguished Service, recognising their sustained excellence, professionalism, and long-standing commitment to duty.

Further acknowledging commendable performance, 11 personnel received the Police Medal for Meritorious Service for demonstrating high standards of efficiency and integrity in their respective roles.

Extending beyond the police force, the state government also honoured personnel from other essential services. Seven members of the Fire Services Department and three personnel from the Jail Department were awarded Police Medals in recognition of their significant contributions to public safety, emergency response, and prison administration.
