Mohammad Junaid, a prominent volunteer during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, has dismissed speculation about a rift with the party leadership.

In a video shared on Monday, Junaid urged supporters not to believe “fake rumours” circulating on social media and said the movement remained united.

“Some people want to defame our movement. I am healthy, my family is safe, and the top leadership is with me. This is a conspiracy to weaken the movement,” Junaid said.

The video was later reposted by the CJP on its official social media platforms.

CJP Reaffirms Support for Volunteer

The Cockroach Janta Party also issued a statement reaffirming its support for Junaid.

Party spokesperson and legal coordinator Ratna Singh said Junaid is safe and continues to receive legal assistance from the organisation.

She also clarified that Junaid attended a volunteers’ gathering after the protest concluded, dismissing online claims that he had been sidelined.

“All rumours regarding Mohammad Junaid are false. He is safe, receiving all necessary legal assistance and remains an important part of our movement,” Ratna Singh said.

The party added that it has always treated Junaid with respect and will continue supporting him, along with other volunteers.

Rumours Surfaced After Protest Ended

The clarification comes after several social media posts claimed that Junaid had fallen out with the CJP leadership following the conclusion of the nationwide protest.

Some posts alleged he was excluded from celebrations after the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, while others claimed party leaders had stopped communicating with him.

Both Junaid and the CJP have categorically rejected these claims.

Previous Allegations of Police Action

Junaid had earlier alleged that police personnel conducted raids at his residence in Ghaziabad and questioned his relatives in Meerut because of his role in the protests.

According to his claims, officials seized personal documents, including bank passbooks and PAN cards, and detained some family members.

The CJP had condemned the alleged action and stated it was extending legal and other assistance to Junaid.

However, Meerut Police later said that after verification, no member of Junaid’s family had been detained.

Movement Calls for Unity

With speculation continuing online, both Junaid and the CJP have appealed to supporters not to spread misinformation.

The party maintains that the movement remains united and has reiterated its commitment to supporting volunteers involved in the nationwide protests.
