A tragic road accident occurred at Malachandia Square under Badambadi police limits in Kataka when an Ama Bus ran over a motorcycle rider on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses reported that the bus dragged the rider nearly 10 meters before stopping. Locals rushed the injured victim to SCB Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.
The driver abandoned the bus and fled the scene immediately after the crash. Police launched a search to trace him while securing the vehicle for investigation.
Residents expressed anger over repeated accidents involving Ama Bus vehicles. The incident sparked tension in the area, with locals demanding stricter enforcement of traffic safety and accountability for reckless driving.
