Ganjam: As many as 30 sand-laden trucks were seized from the Rushikulya riverbed by the district administration In Ganjam on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, the District Collector, Vijay Amruta Kulange conducted a surprise raid at the sand dumping yard and seized the sand-loaded trucks while they were engaged in sand smuggling.
Reportedly, at least 24 trucks belong to Odisha and the rest six are Andhra Pradesh based, sources informed.
