3 places record maximum temperature over 40 degrees, Bhubaneswar hottest at 41.1°C

Bhubaneswar: Three places in Odisha- Bhubaneswar, Balasore and Chandbali on Thursday recorded maximum temperature over 40 degrees Celsius even before noon. However, the Capital city was the hottest as it recorded a maximum day temperature of 41.1 degrees by 11:30 am.

Balasore and Chandbali each recorded a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius. As per the latest IMD data, two places in Odisha, Jharsuguda and Hirakud, recorded maximum temperatures of 40.4 and 40.2 degrees, respectively by 11:30 am.

Mercury was also nearing the 40-degree mark in two other places- Keonjhar (39.6) and Sambalpur (39) by 11:30 am today. There is every possibility that more places in Odisha will record maximum temperatures over 40 degrees by 2:30 pm today.
