Mumbai: A massive crowd of enthusiastic fans gathered at Marine Drive in South Mumbai to celebrate the Indian team’s victory in the T20 World Cup.
During the celebration at Wankhede Stadium, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and the rest of the Indian team sang ‘Vande Mataram’ along with the entire crowd.
The moment was reminiscent of the 2011 ODI World Cup final when the crowd chanted the same song as MS Dhoni hit the winning six against Sri Lanka.
The BCCI felicitated the Men in Blue with a Rs 125 crore prize money for their second T20 World Cup victory. After the felicitation, the team took a victory lap around the stadium, with players singing the patriotic song.
The video was shared by BCCI with the caption: ‘Vande Mataram,’ and it garnered almost two million views on social media.
