Odisha Vigilance launched simultaneous searches at four locations linked to VIMSAR Establishment Officer-cum-Office Superintendent Dhanurdhar Biswal on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets beyond his known sources of income.
On Tuesday, a team led by two DSPs, five Inspectors, three ASIs, and supporting staff carried out the raids. The Special Vigilance Judge, Sambalpur, issued search warrants authorising the operation.
Officials searched Biswal’s double-storeyed residential building at Dhankauda, Sambalpur, one building at Gudesinga, Sambalpur, his government quarter at Medical Staff Colony, VIMSAR, Burla, and his office chamber at VIMSAR, Burla.
Searches are continuing, and further updates are awaited. The case highlights Odisha Vigilance’s intensified crackdown on disproportionate assets among government officials.
