Unidentified Disease Claim Two Lives In Malkangiri’s Ashram School ; 11 Critical

Malkangiri: An unidentified disease claimed two lives of the students of Ashram School at Kolaganda village under Podia Block in Malkangiri district while 11 others are undergoing treatment.

According to reports, a class 7 student died at the hospital on Monday, while a class 8 student died at home yesterday.  The students died after their legs and hands started to swell.

Though the exact reason behind the illness is yet to be ascertained, contaminated water is suspected to be the reason behind it.

Meanwhile, the families complained that the school authorities neglected the treatment after the students fell ill.
