Ukraine ‘Kills’ Russian Major General Vitaly Gerasimov During Battle Of Kharkiv

Kyiv: Ukrainian defence reported that another Russian general, Vitaly Gerasimov, was killed during the battle of Kharkiv on Monday, March 7. “Another loss among the senior command staff of the occupying army,” said the Ukrainian defence ministry.

Major General Vitaly Gerasimov was the first deputy commander of the 41st Army of the Central Military District of Russia.

The Ukrainian defence ministry also said that many senior Russian officers were killed or wounded. “The data obtained also indicate significant problems with communication in the occupier’s army and with the evacuation of their broken units,” said the Ukrainian defence ministry.

This came after a sniper killed the commanding general of the Russian 7th Airborne Division, Andrei Sukhovetsky, and a deputy commander of the 41st Combined Arms Army, as reported by the British news organisation, The Independent.
