In a shocking and brutal incident driven by past enmity, a tractor driver allegedly ran his vehicle over two brothers near Harbhanga, leaving both critically injured.

The horrifying act has created widespread panic and shock across the local region.

According to reports, the victims have been identified as Subrata Sahu (23) and Santosh Sahu (24), residents of Jabar village under the Mahalikapada Panchayat in Harbhanga block. The incident transpired while the two brothers were returning home and reached near Jabar Ariasahi.

Local sources indicate that the accused tractor driver, identified as Satya Kanhar, intentionally steered his tractor directly into the brothers due to a long-standing personal dispute. The impact left both victims with severe, life-threatening injuries. One brother suffered multiple leg fractures, while the other sustained severe damage to his legs and chest.

Following the attack, the driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Local residents quickly rushed to the spot and immediately transported the injured brothers to a nearby medical facility. However, considering the critical nature of their injuries, doctors recommended urgent specialised care, leading to their transfer to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

Police have been informed about the incident, and an investigation has been launched to trace the absconding driver and ascertain the exact sequence of events.
