Krushnaprasad: Around 60 passengers of two boats narrowly escaped a mishap after the boats collided head-on in the middle of Chilika lake here in Ganjam district on Sunday.
A boat driver along with three otrhers sustained injuries while two bikes were damaged in the collission.
One of the boats carrying passengers from Janhikuda was heading towards Stapada while another was coming from the opposite direction. The accident took place near Mahinsa Kuda in the lake. The boat coming from Satapada first hit another boat.
All the passengers have been rescued successfully. The injured have been admitted to Chilika Nuapada Community Health Centre.
