US President Donald Trump confirmed that American airstrikes on Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities — Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan — have been a “spectacular military success,” claiming that the sites have been completely obliterated.
In a televised address, Trump said the operation was aimed at dismantling Iran’s nuclear capabilities and called Iran “the world’s number one state sponsor of terror.” He issued a stern warning to Tehran, saying, “Future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier” if Iran refuses to make peace.
“There will be either peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran, far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days,” Trump said, calling this an “historic moment” for the US, Israel, and the world.
The US military operation follows over a week of intense Israeli strikes on Iran targeting missile systems and nuclear infrastructure. Trump said the US strike involved a full payload of bombs and that all aircraft had returned safely.
The aggressive escalation has triggered fears of wider regional conflict and drawn global attention to the possibility of retaliatory Iranian action.
Iran has not yet officially responded to the US strikes.
