Bhadrak: In yet another accident in Bhadrak’s Barapada today, a person was critically injured after a speeding truck hit a bike, and both vehicles went up in flames.
According to reports, an iron-laden truck was en route to Anandapur from Bhadrak, and three youths standing in front of Barpada Primary Health Centre were having tea from a roadside shop.
Due to some reasons unknown, the truck went out of control and hit a person sitting on a bike parked on the roadside. After the collision, the truck dragged the bike from some distance and caught fire.
The person sitting on the bike was critically injured and has been shifted from Barapada PHC to Bhadrak DHH. The truck driver escaped the scene unhurt.
On intimation, the Fire Service and Rescue personnel along with rural police reached the spot and brought the fire under control. The police have started further investigation into the accident and the related fire incident.
