Tokyo: India’s Suhas Yathiraj defeated Setiawan Fredy and entered the finals of Badminton Men’s Singles SL4 in Tokyo Paralympics.
India’s Suhas took a brilliant five point lead in the 1st game. The Indonesian Fredy seemed to have started to comeback to close the huge gap between him and Suhas. However the Indian was too strong for him as the Indian took a 10 point lead 17-7. Suhas wins first game 21-9 in just 11 mins.
Suhas started with an early lead like the game 1, but Fredy came back to get a point unlike the first game. Fredy tied 5-5, making it hard for the Indian. Suhas got four consecutive points. Suhas took a lead of 11-6 after the first half of the second game. Suhas led 14-6 with an eight point lead. The Indian again led 17-12. A back and forth exchange of points, helped Suhas lead 18-14. Suhas won the second game 21-15 enters finals
