In a spirited push to transform the Smart City into India’s cleanest urban centre, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) held a high-level review meeting on Swachh Survekshan-2026 today.
Chaired by Additional Commissioner Kailash Chandra Das, the meeting brought together key officials, including Sanitary Superintendent N. Ganesh Babu and Assistant Commissioner Lokanath Behera, along with Swachh Sathis, sanitation inspectors, volunteers, JEs, and IEs.
The core message was loud and clear: citizen feedback is the game-changer. BMC is actively collecting opinions from residents to improve cleanliness, waste management, and overall sanitation scores. While people are enthusiastically sharing their views, some have expressed hesitation over the one-time password (OTP) sent by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for verification.
Officials firmly reassured citizens that the OTP is completely safe. “This code is issued only to identify which mobile number submitted the feedback. No personal data is shared, stored, or misused. There is zero chance of hacking or leakage,” the BMC clarified.
“Your feedback remains 100% confidential. Every citizen can participate without any fear.” Bhubaneswar is competing among 4,789 cities in this year’s nationwide cleanliness survey. With strong public support, the city aims to clinch the top position. Residents are urged to spend just two minutes to make a big difference:
