India captain Suryakumar Yadav has jumped five spots to seventh in the latest ICC men’s T20I rankings after a prolific run in the ongoing five-match home series against New Zealand. India currently lead the series 3-0.

Yadav, a former No.1 batter, struck 32, 82 not out, and 57 not out in the first three matches, boosting his position in the rankings. India now dominate the top order with Abhishek Sharma at No.1 and Tilak Varma at No.3, just days ahead of the T20 World Cup.

Ishan Kishan re-entered the rankings at 64th after his explosive 76 off 32 balls in Raipur. Shivam Dubey rose nine places to 58th, while Rinku Singh climbed 13 spots to 68th.

Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz also made gains, moving to 13th and 15th, respectively. Player-of-the-Series Darwish Rasooli surged 29 slots to 87th. South Africa’s Aiden Markram entered the top 20 after his unbeaten 86 off 47 balls against the West Indies.

In bowling, Afghanistan’s Mujeeb ur Rahman advanced to ninth after a four-wicket haul. India’s Jasprit Bumrah moved to 13th, Ravi Bishnoi to 19th, and Hardik Pandya climbed 18 places to 59th. Pandya also improved in batting and all-rounder rankings.

England’s Harry Brook rose 17 places to 11th after scoring 247 runs in Sri Lanka, while Joe Root advanced to 17th. Adil Rashid climbed to fifth among bowlers, and Sri Lanka’s Dunith Wellalage jumped to 29th.
