New Delhi:  The T20 run bomber, star batter Suryakumar Yadav to miss Mumbai Indians initial matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL), 2024 as he failed to get the required fitness result and clearance from National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru.

The 33 old, world No 1 T20 batter has been out of the game since he injured his ankle during the tour of South Africa in December 2023.

The Mumbai Indians batter has been to Munich, Germany for surgery in January. MI head coach Mark Boucher said he is awaiting an update on Yadav’s recovery from the Indian team management.

Mumbai Indians will start their opening game against Gujarat Titans at Ahmedabad on March 24. Unfortunately, there is the least chance of Suryakumar featuring in that match.
