Puri: It is World Environment Day today and acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik marked the occasion with a special artwork on Puri Beach, Odisha.
Pattnaik took to Twitter to share the picture of his stunning sand art and urged people to make the planet green.

World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year to encourage awareness and action for the protection of the environment. The day was first observed in 1974 in the city of Spokane in the USA to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.
