Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Friday said the fifth instalment of the flagship Subhadra Yojana will be distributed on August 28, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Rakhi Purnima, at Nayagada.
Participating in a preparation review meeting organised in this connection, the Deputy Chief Minister discussed all readiness measures for the smooth release of funds.
She directed concerned officials and bank representatives to complete the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) process within the stipulated timeline, strengthen the banking system, and take all necessary steps so that beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience.

The Subhadra scheme provides financial assistance to eligible women in the state. The upcoming fifth instalment is expected to benefit a large number of women beneficiaries across Odisha, with the special distribution event planned at Nayagada to mark the festive occasion. Officials have been instructed to ensure robust coordination between departments and banks to facilitate timely and error-free transfers.
