Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Friday said the fifth instalment of the flagship Subhadra Yojana will be distributed on August 28, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Rakhi Purnima, at Nayagada.
Participating in a preparation review meeting organised in this connection, the Deputy Chief Minister discussed all readiness measures for the smooth release of funds.
Officials from the Department of Women & Child Development, the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) team, and representatives of various banks attended the meeting.
Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida thoroughly reviewed the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) process for the fifth instalment, beneficiary identification, banking arrangements, and other logistical preparations.
She informed that a total of 1,03,26,162 eligible beneficiaries have been identified for this instalment. On the occasion of Rakhi Purnima, more than Rs 5,160 crore will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of these beneficiaries through DBT.
Smt. Parida directed the concerned officials and bank representatives to complete the DBT process within the stipulated timeline, strengthen banking arrangements, and take all necessary steps to ensure that beneficiaries face no inconvenience during the disbursement.

The Subhadra scheme provides financial assistance to eligible women in the state. The upcoming fifth instalment is expected to benefit a large number of women beneficiaries across Odisha, with the special distribution event planned at Nayagada to mark the festive occasion. Officials have been instructed to ensure robust coordination between departments and banks to facilitate timely and error-free transfers.
