Political circles are abuzz with speculation that former minister Bikram Keshari Arukha may soon join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Responding to the reports, state BJP president Manmohan Samal said the party remains open to all and welcomes those willing to strengthen its organisation.
“The BJP’s doors are open for everyone. We are working to expand our strength across Odisha, including Ganjam district,” Samal said, adding that the party will take a decision after due consideration.
Echoing the sentiment, Minister Gokulananda Mallick said Arukh’s entry would further boost BJP’s presence in Ganjam. “We have already won 11 out of 13 seats in the district. In the next election, we aim to win all 13,” he asserted.
While discussions on Arukha’s possible induction continue, the former minister has yet to comment publicly on the matter. Party insiders say deliberations are ongoing as BJP seeks to consolidate its base ahead of upcoming political battles.
