New Delhi: In yet another fresh development into the Shraddha Walker murder case, it has come to the fore that she had a quarrel with her live-in partner Aftab Poonawala on the day she fell prey to her cold-blooded killing.
According to a report by ABP News, police sources have told that Shraddha was suspicious of Aftab for cheating her by dating other women due to which both got into an argument on May 18, the day she was murdered. Shraddha and Aftab often had arguments over the former’s suspicion, they added.
Shraddha Walker, who was in a live-in relationship in Delhi’s Mehrauli area with Aftab Poonawala was murdered by him later on May 18. Aftab then chopped her corpse into 35 pieces and stacked them in a newly-bought refrigerator. He then disposed the chopped body parts at various places across Delhi.
As per reports, Aftab brought a new fridge to store the mutilated body and incense sticks and room fresheners to suppress the stench.
Shraddha was reported missing in May this year after she eloped with Aftab to Delhi. On Monday, the Delhi Police said that they got lead in the case and revealed the gruesome incident.
The Delhi Police on Tuesday said that it was considering to write to dating app, Bumble, requesting details of Aftab’s profile to find details of the woman who visited her in the same flat where he stacked his live-in partner Shraddha Walker’s chopped body parts in a refrigerator, reported the news agency.
As per reports, Aftab dated another woman through the same dating app through which he met Shraddha. He brought the woman, a psychologist, to his flat one to two times between June and July while his live-in partner’s chopped body was stacked in the refrigerator at the same place.
The Delhi Police sources told news agency ANI that Aftab had used a mini saw to chop off her body parts adding that the weapon is yet to be recovered.
Meanwhile, Shraddha’s father demanded a death penalty for the accused while also suspected a “love jihad” angle in the case.
