On the occasion of superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s 61st birthday, the makers of his upcoming action thriller King released the film’s maiden track, “Tu Mil Jaye”, at the stroke of midnight on Monday, November 2, 2026.
Composed by music director duo Sachin-Jigar and rendered by Arijit Singh alongside Madhubanti Bagchi, the romantic track features an international collaboration with global pop star Ed Sheeran, facilitated via Interscope Records and Gingerbread Man Records.
Action Meets Romance: Shah Rukh & Deepika Reunite
Picturised on Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, “Tu Mil Jaye” blends stylized action sequences and intense narrative beats with high-octane romance across foreign locations.
The video opens with a voiceover dialogue by Shah Rukh Khan framing the core thematic conflict:
”Main katil nahi, aashiq hoon, nishana meri masooqa, aur woh aashiqui kya jo dil cheer na de.”
(I am not a killer, but a lover. My beloved is my aim. And what is love if it doesn’t pierce the heart?)
The song marks the pair’s latest onscreen collaboration following blockbuster hits Pathaan and Jawan.
Mannat Celebrations and Ensemble Cast
Although Khan will miss his traditional birthday meet-and-greet with fans outside his Bandra residence, Mannat, owing to ongoing production schedules, LED displays outside his bungalow illuminated three new teaser posters for King at midnight.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King marks his second collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan after Pathaan.
The film stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, and Abhay Verma, with Kareena Kapoor featuring in a special dance sequence.
King is scheduled to premiere in cinemas worldwide on December 24, 2026, during the Christmas holiday weekend.
